FIRST - let me say that technology is not my first tool in my toolbox. It’s pretty rare, actually. But it can be a helpful tool to integrate along with hands on skills for some children if there is a strong negative association with a pencil.

I love using these two tools because they both promote a grasp like you would use on a pencil.

Reminder: a functional grasp like this isn’t expected until closer to around age 5.

The mini stylus comes in a big pack and is very affordable (and it has a piece attached where you can attach it to an iPad!)

Light pressure when a child writes?

Here is one idea to try! I bought this pack of scratch art sheets from the dollar tree for $1.25.

Lemme be honest with you reeaaaal quick.

I don’t pack toys or a “toddler bag” with me anywhere I go for my almost 15 month old. Some might say I ✨live on the edge ✨

We just free ball it and her favorite toys have become the restaurant menus, the napkins, and food. 😂 And we share time together as she watches what we do at a restaurant table, for example.

To me creating a whole bag and rotating items of toys to go somewhere all the time is just more work that I don’t need on my plate. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I can’t say that won’t change… BUT… I am impressed with these fun reusable and educational sticker books by @joycat_official.us ! So if I did have a bag in the future, these would be in it.

These are great for a simple morning activity while breakfast is being made 🍳 or if you need a rotation in the bag of goodies for the car ride 🚗

These sticker books are great for working on:
✔️ Pincer grasp
✔️ Bilateral coordination
✔️ Visual-motor skills
✔️ Sequencing when making the pizza order 🍕
✔️ Color sorting
✔️ Learning about the seasons
