Dumplings are one of my comfort foods, so I don’t say this lightly , but I do think that @amazing_dumplings may just be the best (and most beautiful) dumplings in Pittsburgh. ** INVITED**

We tried many of the menu options, which includes not only dumplings, but also flavorful chicken and incredible noodles. I think my top two favorites were the hot oil sesame dumplings and the pork lotus root dumplings.

After speaking with the owner, it is apparent that so much thought and effort goes into every dish on the menu. She was truly a joy to speak with, and I am so grateful for this invitation to visit the restaurant.

The perfect place to spend a sunny day and grab a few drinks. @gristhouse opened last year in Oakdale, and their location is pretty sick. The building is part of an old military base, and they’ve got tons of photos on the wall depicting the history. It’s about 20ish minutes outside the city, and has a 3 story patio where you can see the (somewhat far) city skyline.

We’ve gone a few times, and although I’m not much of a beer drinker even I’ve found a few that I don’t mind. However, if you really don’t like beer then no worries because they’ve also got some cocktails and a few wines available.

I haven’t gotten a chance to try their food yet, but I’ve heard good things. Based on the menu it seems to be mostly things like burgers, fries, hot dogs, and even a french onion soup.

Massive pancakes, quality food, and good service for about $10-12 pp? Yeah, there’s a reason this place has been a go to for us for the last few years. Our Diner (they don’t have an insta to tag) is located about 20min from downtown Pittsburgh in Imperial.

I’m a firm believer that breakfast foods shouldn’t be expensive (yeah yeah I’m sure there’s some that are worth it but otherwise why am I paying like $16 for eggs and toast at so many places ?). I love that the costs here haven’t really changed since we first started going in like 2019 with the average breakfast plate costing less than $10.

The food is genuinely so good too. One of my go tos is the cookies and cream pancakes or the biscuits and gravy. My bf likes to get the breakfast tacos (I think they look kind of eh but he likes em

A new island escape is opening on July 24 in downtown Pittsburgh 🏝️ @sporkisland is the newest tiki concept bar and restaurant to open in the city! **INVITED**

I got the chance to get a sneak preview of the island’s offerings. This tiki bar has some upscale dining options served tapas style, such as lobster rangoons. The food was really good, but again be aware that it is small plates meant to be shared.

The drinks were fairly reasonably priced for downtown at about $15 each…they were also pretty strong which gives more bang for your buck. I’ll list everything we had below:

-lobster rangoons $13
- tuna poke $20
- petit wagyu sirloin $37 (def thought this one was a little pricey 😬)
- local mushrooms $14
- hashbrowns $15
- panko pan fried chicken meatballs $10

Drinks:
- Last Ship Home: blanco tequila,lemon, peppered wildberry shrub, simple, absinthe, poblano saline

- Purple Reign: Pisco, Paw Paw Shrub, Chicha Morada, lemon, lime, yuzu curaçao, egg white, bitters

- Sporky Sling: Gin, Fashionola, Sugarcane, Demerare, Lemon, Pistachio Orgeat, bitters

- Anne Bonney: Vodka, Ginger, Spice, Lime, Grapefruit, Soda Water
