I got to check stomping the divots at a polo match off my bucket list. And yes… they played the Pretty Woman theme song while we did it.

One of my favorite parts of the afternoon was chatting with the team at the Visit Palm Beaches table where I learned that Palm Beach County is considered the polo capital of America and is home to one of the country’s biggest polo seasons every year. So if you’re a polo fan, Palm Beach is the place to be.

Now for me…. I still don’t know much about the sport but I highly recommend adding a polo match to your summer activities list.

There are hotel stays… and then there are some hotel experiences you’ll never forget.

Getting upgraded to the Roosevelt Suite at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac was definitely one of those moments. Watching Austen enjoy the books and crannies of this historic castle while I soaked up all the history lessons I could made the experience even more special.

If you’re a history nerd like me 🤓, don’t skip the hotel’s guided history tour (for overnight guests only) or the museum tucked away in the basement. Learning about the château’s 130-year history made me appreciate our stay even more.

If you’re planning a trip to Québec City, don’t just stop by for photos, stay there if you can. It’s an experience all on its own.
