Ever since we met and adopted her into our family, she’s been so full of joy and love! She has the sweetest and softest spirit and soul in the world. It blows our mind that a child can be so grateful and love her mommy and daddy so much. Even crazier to think about how God uniquely designed her with these traits knowing she would one day be adopted ♥️😭🤍

We love you soooo much too baby girl!
Hard work pays off! She saved enough to almost cover half of her first car up front. With the help of mom and dad, we are excited for her!

We love you @emma_rae08
We wish people knew how much our older kids have sacrificed for their sisters.

They have missed moments. They have shared attention they did not always get enough of. They have had plans shift, schedules change, and priorities move around them more times than we can count. That is real. We do not pretend it is not.

We get this question or statement thrown at us quite a bit…. That we were unfair to them, that we pushed them aside for what the girls needed. We understand why it can look that way from the outside looking in. But sacrifice in a family like ours does not mean neglect. It means everyone learned early that love sometimes costs you something, and they gave it anyway. We made the decision as a family to step into what God calls us to do and we believe and teach that God calls people to do hard things.

You do not see the small moments where they choose patience instead of frustration. You do not see the times they step up without being asked, the ways they have learned to notice what their sisters need before anyone says a word, the grace they show on the hard days that most adults would struggle to show. You do not see how naturally they protect and include their sisters, or the quiet maturity they carry that we did not teach them, we just watched them choose it over and over again.

They did not lose a normal childhood. They gained a front row seat to what real love looks like. And they became some of the most compassionate, selfless people we know because of it.

We are not just proud of the little girls for how far they have come. We are equally proud of our older kids for how much they gave to get them there.

All six of our kids are extraordinary. Not despite each other. Because of each other. ♥️🤍
We used to think surviving was the goal. It’s not. There’s so much more than just getting to the next day.

We’re Brian and Kristen, and our six kids make up the rest of the Wood Crew. Special needs. Adoption. Trauma. Chaos most days. Full time work. A marriage we’ve had to fight for right in the middle of all of it.

For a long time we were just getting through the day. Then we figured out it was never about trying harder. It was rhythm.

Today, on Brian’s 40th birthday, we’re finally handing you what we built. The Healthy Rhythms Guide. 30 real rhythms across Faith, Health, Marriage, and Family. Real stories from our own life. A full 30 Day Rhythm Builder to help you actually live it, not just read about it.

You can start any time. But we’re challenging you to start with us. September 1st, we’re doing the 30 Day Rhythm Builder together as a community, and we’ll be on our Story most days walking through it right alongside you.

🎉 Launch special: $19 through midnight Sunday. Goes to $27 after that.

Comment RHYTHMS and we’ll send it straight to you.

Let’s stop surviving.
Let’s start building something that lasts. ♥️🤍
