One whole year of Skin&Kin💚 What an incredible 12 months it has been. From education and events to spa days, friendships, tears, laughter, hugs, challenges, huge wins and everything in between, this first year has been more than we ever could have imagined. When we created Skin&Kin, we knew there was something missing within our industry. A space where practitioners could come together to learn, grow, connect and feel genuinely supported. A community that championed education, collaboration and real human connection in an industry that can sometimes feel incredibly lonely! What Skin&Kin has grown into over the past 12 months is something we could only have dreamed of. The rooms full of practitioners learning together. The conversations. The friendships that have formed. The confidence we’ve watched grow. The businesses we’ve watched change. The moments where someone has realised they’re not doing this alone anymore. The past 12 months have been proof that this industry was ready for something different. Tretinoin dryness does NOT automatically mean your skin barrier is compromised 👏🏼 When you first introduce tretinoin, dryness, flaking and a little tightness can be completely normal and expected while your skin adjusts to Vitamin A It doesn’t necessarily mean you need to panic and stop using it, your skin is adapting to a very powerful ingredient✨ The key is to introduce tretinoin low and slow and really ramp up the hydration alongside it. Think hydrating toners/serums, a good barrier-supporting moisturiser and, of course, SPF every single day! If you start to feel dry, you can reduce your frequency and give your skin more recovery time between applications, but a little initial dryness isn’t a reason to give up on tretinoin altogether. Stay consistent, stay SUPER hydrated and give it time to work. 🤍 Persistent burning, significant redness, swelling, cracking or painful irritation is different, stop and speak to your prescriber/skin professional If you are wanting to start your Tretinoin journey and would also like my help and guidance whilst doing so head to the link in my bio!🫶🏼
