How to tie a shoulder bag using a furoshiki which is a traditional square cloth used in Japan to wrap, tie or gift items!
My grandma always had a furoshiki with her and I now can’t travel without one! ✨

I bet my grandma is making the rice into onigiri, okayu (rice porridge), takikomi gohan (mixed rice dish) and feeding it to everyone (pets included) around her 🫶🏻
Sending love to you and your loved ones always and hoping it’s all one big party wherever they are ❤️

Testing out Japanese recipes my mom has collected and has held onto for over 40 years! Episode 2!! ✌️
I still need to re-test the kabocha mitarashi dango lol

It’s been a while since I made one of these recipes!
I had to make a few changes along the way but I forgot how much I like shira-ae! You can do this with all kinds of veggies like spinach, burdock root, kabocha squash, anything that would hold its shape while mixing it with the tofu!

Do you know why natto is so stringy??

FYI I think every restaurant should have an option where you can order a side of natto!! 🫶🏻

My friend and I got lunch at a place she recommended called @aen__osaki which was a Japanese teishoku (set meal) spot that was produced by @mosburger_japan and it was so yummy! They produce their own natto that you can order as a side and I loved the idea of mixing in the water to make it SUPER fluffy 😍

I would loveee to know how many people can eat natto though 👀 (putting a poll up!)
