Usually all I want do when I’m on vacation is nothing. Vacation for me usually just means sitting and relaxing and reading, of course (that’s relaxing for me). But, my daughter is quite the adventure and now that she’s a little older, she loves exploring. I love that, it’s just not what I usually want out of my vacation, so we compromise. We spend about half the time exploring and doing fun things and the other half relaxing while doing fun things. That meant while we were in Bali, visiting some rice patties where we did this giant couch thing over a canyon where they grow rice. She and my husband also zip lined while we were there. I’m not much for zip lining so I sat that one out. One thing I was really excited about though was White River rafting. We ended up going on the tamer river, which we didn’t realize until we were done, but it was still a ton of fun next time we go we’re gonna do the harder one! We did have to walk down 350 steps and up about 250 which was exhausting!!! it was so much fun though. We also explored the local area and had a really great time. And I did manage to read quite a few books. What’s your favorite thing to do while on vacation?
Everyone this was filmed on Saturday, it’s now Tuesday and he is on book 6. So maybe not exactly one book a day but he’s doing pretty quick! I got my daughter the graphic novel this weekend as well because she seems really enjoy it (don’t worry she only gets to listen to like book one and two because I hear it gets a little much especially for her age). She was annoyed though because they take these tests at school on what they read to test comprehension, etc., and they didn’t have these books in the library for the test. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, what’s something you’re obsessing over right now?
Monday funday? No that’s Friday…Monday Ugh-Day is more like it for me since I’m now back from vacation 🤣 also it’s Monday - does anyone like Mondays? Where is your favorite place to read when you’re on vacation? We had this plunge pool in our room and it was nice
It was a huge journey to get from Seattle to Bali. It’s a 15 hr time different and a long flight then a shorter long flight haha we flew from Seattle to Hong Kong and then had about a 15 hour layover where we left the airport and stated a hotel and then the next day we came back and took a 5 1/2 hour flight down to Bali. By the time we got there, we really didn’t know what day it was due to crossing the international dateline and the large time difference, we were tired, but we had such a great time! What’s a place that’s on your bucket list for travel?
