Azelaic acid routine 👇

If you’re a beginner, this is how I’d start:

☀️ AM Routine (Weeks 1–2)

1.Cleanser
2. Azelaic acid (pea-sized amount)
If you have sensitive skin, apply a thin layer of moisturizer or a hydrating serum first (the buffer method) to help reduce irritation.
Start just 2–3 times per week.
3.Moisturizer (if needed) + Sunscreen
After about 2 weeks (if your skin is tolerating it well):

You can start combining Vitamin C + Azelaic Acid in the same morning routine.

1.Cleanser
2.Vitamin C serum Wait about 10 minutes (optional, but I prefer it when starting out to minimize irritation).
3.Azelaic acid
4.Moisturizer (if needed) + Sunscreen
As your skin adapts, you can slowly increase azelaic acid to daily use. The right frequency depends on how well your skin tolerates it.

🌙 PM Routine (if using tretinoin)

1.Cleanser
2.Azelaic acid or tretinoin first—either order is fine. Don’t let the internet convince you there’s only one “correct” way.
Apply the other product.
3.Moisturizer

A few things to keep in mind:

• Mild itching, tingling, or stinging for the first 10–15 minutes can be normal.
• Although azelaic acid can be used twice daily, I recommend starting with 2–3 times a week and increasing gradually.
• Personally, I used it once a day for almost a year before increasing my frequency.
• Listen to your skin. If it’s becoming irritated, slow down. Consistency beats using too much too soon.

Everyone’s skin is different, so adjust the frequency based on how your skin responds. 🤍 #azelaicacid #acneprone
