Welcome to Freehand Custom Carvings, a family-run sculpture gallery and working studio where wood is transformed into incredible works of art. . And when I say transformed, I really mean it. . These incredible sculptures began as simple logs and have been brought to life using chainsaws, carving tools, and an incredible amount of creativity and craftsmanship. . Head artist Brett McLain has been sculpting wood for more than 30 years, and Freehand has grown into an international artist collective, welcoming talented carvers from across the United States and around the world. . Walking through the property feels almost like stepping into a little outdoor art museum, with whimsical, intricate, larger-than-life sculptures tucked throughout the grounds. . This beautifully nostalgic farm was one of the first applepicking farms in New Jersey, with working farmland since the 1700’s, and opening to the public in 1974. . We got a chance to get a sneak peak at the wonderful activities and treats that will be available to enjoy this season! . Come an enjoy a variety of activities along with live music, hay wagon rides, and so much more. . This year you will find: -Delicious bites prepared by Ashley, the owner of the farm. - @fortnonsensebrewing coming in with some delicious beer along with the sweetest and delicious cider from @melickstownfarm (the kids loved it, of course.) -Pony rides as well as the @barnesyardpettingzoo, you just can’t go wrong with some goat snuggles! This was a hit for everyone ( at the farm every weekend til Oct. 25) . PYO Flowers or fill a bucket for $20, Vegetables, and of course apples** and pumpkins. . Always finding peace in the Poconos. . Hornbecks Creek Trail (Lower Hornbecks/Indian Ladders) was very extra peaceful this morning. . And I was so proud of little girl hiking all the way to the falls on her own (I offered her a piggy back on the way back to the car if she did so. It worked) . This treasure within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area follows an old roadbed that meanders along Hornbecks Creek to a beautiful waterfall. While the waterfall is a short drop, the symmetrical cliffs and round plunge pool provide the perfect frame for the falls and a beautiful spot to take in all the sounds of the Poconos. . #Poconomtns #DelawareWaterGap #PAHiking #WaterfallWednesday
