Viral sushi tacos, but homemade. I’d been seeing these all over my feed for a while, and once a local Austin spot started putting them on the menu, I knew I had to try making my own version first.

Hoisin sauce and sriracha mayo do the heavy lifting on flavor, sweet, spicy, and a little tangy in every bite. The cucumber is non negotiable too, it cuts through the richness of the crispy shell and sticky rice and keeps every bite tasting fresh instead of heavy.

If you’re not big on raw fish, this is a great entry point. I swapped in a well seasoned baked salmon instead of going raw, and it worked perfectly.

Making the viral thing at home before the hype wears off. 10 out of 10, would make again.

**ENSALADA DE TEMPORADA** — This isn’t your typical salad. Flavorful, refreshing, filling, and honestly? Unique flavors I’ve never had in a salad before. I could’ve easily taken another serving home.

**LAS BRAVAS Y CALAMARES** — Perfectly fried potatoes. Perfectly fried calamari, thinly sliced (not those thick, chewy pieces). The sauce was so good you don’t need anything else. You just keep eating.

**PAELLA MIXTA** — First time having paella and I’m a convert. Typically wary of shellfish, but these mussels? Perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh. But the sauce!!!That dollop of sauce could make me drink it through a straw. Flavorful, salty, balanced, satisfying. That sauce elevated everything.

**BASQUE CHEESECAKE** — Solid finish. I typically go for sweeter cheesecakes, but this is more cheesy, and if that’s your lane, you’re gonna love it.

Here’s the thing though: Every dollar spent during restaurant weeks = 3 meals for your neighbors. This is dining out for a good cause.
