Would it be weird to be watching someone go out their day in a perfectly average ordinary way? See I only say perfectly average and ordinary cause by this society's definition neurotypical is perfect average and ordinary. To an autistic person the way they exist is perfectly normal to them and yet we make TV shows about it. And don't get me wrong I'm not saying the representation on TV is bad, but the same washed up stereotype might be. So often it is either the autistic person that screams and punches themself in the head when things get too loud (not saying they don't exist, I've defintiely cared for people like this when they get overwhelmed, I'm just saying it's one tiny blip on the spectrum and yet over represented when talking about autism in general), or it's the genius savant (yes these people also exist, but again it's one blip).

And then there are the "autistic coded" characters we all know and love. These are the ones that when autistic people are watching TV we instantly connect with them and they become our favourite characters, and yet they are never explicitly said to be autistic.
- Temperance Brennan from Bones (most of the Bones cast tbh)
- Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds
- Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec
- Dwight from the Office (also Andy and Erin, and I'm pegging Michael as AuDHD)
- Dr House from House
- Daria from Daria
- Abed from Community
- Sheldon from Big Bang (ok pretty much the whole cast again and don't tell me Sheldon's don't exist cause I was the insufferable know it all as a kid 😅🤦‍♀️)

The list goes on...
A not so fun fact has just dropped - women are 30% less likely to recieve CPR from a random passerby cause people are afraid they might touch a b00b.

Let me put your mind at ease. You will touch a b00b. There is no way around it. No matter which way you place your hands you are going to touch a b00b. Mine aren't even that huge and I still can't avoid touching them. They're just b00bs. Half the population is walking around with them. Of all the times to be shy, now isn't it!

It's not weird. It's not creepy. You aren't copping a feel. You are literally saving a woman's life! And she will thank you for it!

Is it awkward? Sure, but again please push through your discomfort to save a life!

At the end of the day a b00b is just an aesthetically pleasing lump of fat. It's not different to pushing on a chubby belly, or leg, or whatever. Don't make it weird. Of all the times to be weird it's not now. Even if you have to say to yourself over and over again in your head "Don't make it weird, don't make it weird, don't make it weird" then do that! But do it while giving her life saving medical attention!

Share this with every man you know! I feel like that 30% is going to lay firmly in the male sector since women will be like 'meh, it's just a b00b' 😅

Contra Proferentum

From a legal point of view the person at fault, for any misunderstanding, is the person who wrote it. If what was said is vague or unclear, if it can be taken in more than one way - then the person who said it is the one in the wrong!

Did you hear that?!!

If someone needs to ask you a clarifying question, it is because YOU were not clear! It is not their fault for misunderstanding, it is, but the very definition of the law, your fault for being unclear!

Neurotypicals listen up - there will be no more blaming us autistic folks for your lack of communication skills, we will no longer be accepting the responsibility to guess what you meant, any ambiguity is on you BY DEFINITION OF THE LAW!

Rant over.

I have talked about the Pulsetto multiple times before & I have had so many DMs with people thanking me profusely for introducing them to it!

So how does it work?

The vagus nerve is the largest cranial nerve in our bodies. It connects your brain to most of your major organs. This nerve is responsible for signalling to your body that you are safe, you can relax! So deliberately stimulating this nerve tells your body ‘you are safe’.

And that is exactly what the Pulsetto does!

So for those who are chronically stuck in fight or flight (& you can tell if you are cause you’ll have a low HRV) this can be a serious game changer!

I used to get excruciating stomach aches that I planned my life around! I spent thousands of dollars trying to fix them! I got supplements, I tried probiotics, I saw gut specialists, I tried it all and nothing worked! They all moved the dial a little bit, but nothing life changing. Enter the Pulsetto!

Now Pulsetto never even promised this! I was not expecting this! But I went to have ramen one day (one definite trigger food, but I love it!) after using Pulsetto for a month every day, & I DIDNT GET A STOMACH ACHE!!! Normally when I eat ramen I know full well I'll end up with a stomach ache, so I do it knowing I better not have plans after this cause I will need to go lay down. I never got the stomach ache!! And Pulsetto is the only thing I’d changed!!

And then the anxiety!! Anxious was my default. It was stupid, I knew it was stupid and yet here I was. When I was deep diving into HRV one of the main symptoms of a low HRV is anxiety. This is highly measurable with a health tracker. I had tried the humming, I had tried the meditation and all these things required me to remember to do it consistently, & make time for them. The Pulsetto doesn't need me to make time for it. I put it on while I'm reading a book, cleaning the lounge room, watching tv et . My anxiety went from the default to a rare event!!

I want to scream from the mountain tops how this device changed my life!!!!! Take the chance on it! I promise you it is so so incredibly worth it!!
