Adobe Photoshop beta just dropped dynamic layers and I have been playing around with it and it is genuinely something else.

So what it does is give you so much more control over anything you have generated inside Adobe Photoshop. Rather than being stuck with one fixed result you can now dial the effect up or down. More of it. Less of it. Exactly how you want it.

I used it to add storm clouds to an image and instead of just accepting whatever Adobe Photoshop generated I could control exactly how intense the clouds were. More dramatic. More subtle. Right in between. All adjustable without regenerating from scratch.

But the part that really got me is that you can create multiple animations from it as well. Which makes this an incredible tool for creating GIFs and animated content directly inside Adobe Photoshop without any extra steps.

This is one of those Adobe Photoshop tips and tricks updates that gives you the creative control that generative AI sometimes takes away from you. You are not just prompting and hoping anymore. You are actually directing the outcome.

Save this Adobe Photoshop tutorial because dynamic layers are about to change how you use generative tools completely.

Way more control. More creativity.

POV: you’re a brand designer on a flight and suddenly you’re studying everything 😂✈️

The seats. The napkins. The signage. The packaging. The little details nobody else is paying attention to.

This is the part of brand identity design I love. A brand is so much bigger than a logo. It’s seeing how the logo design, typography, colour, graphic design and visual identity actually come together across every brand touchpoint.

You can build a beautiful identity in Adobe Illustrator, but the real magic happens when that brand leaves the artboard and starts living in the real world.

Anyway… apparently I can’t just enjoy a flight anymore 😭

I genuinely did not know Adobe Photoshop could do this.

You can take a picture of literally anything. A shop front. A poster. A sign. And replace what the text says while keeping the exact same font, style, and everything else exactly as it was in the original image.

Like actually keeping the font. Not approximating it. Keeping it.

The amount of use cases for this Adobe Photoshop trick are genuinely wild. Mockups. Brand presentations. Showing a client what their name looks like on an existing storefront before they commit to anything. Changing signage in a photo without a full reshoot.

I have been using this for posters and images and it just works every single time in a way I did not expect.

This is one of those Adobe Photoshop tips and tricks that makes you stop and think about how much time you could have saved if you had known about it earlier.

Save this Adobe Photoshop tutorial because you are going to want to use this one sooner than you think.

Adobe Photoshop keeps doing things I did not think were possible. This is one of them.

You do not need another logo.

This is something I hear all the time from businesses that have multiple sectors or divisions under one brand. They think each sector needs its own completely separate logo and brand identity. And so they end up with a collection of disconnected logos that look nothing like each other and the whole thing starts to feel fragmented.

That is not a logo problem. That is a visual language problem.

This is the work I did for SPD Financial Group. A financial brand with three sectors sitting underneath the main group. SPD Insurance Protect. SPD Mortgage Solutions. SPD Wills and Trust.

The goal was not to design four completely different logos. The goal was to create one strong brand identity for the group and then create individual logos for each sector that still felt connected. Same visual language. Same system. Same family. Just adapted for each division.

When it is done right a client can look at any part of the brand and instantly know it belongs to the same world. That cohesion is what makes a brand feel established and trustworthy.

You do not always need something new. Sometimes you just need everything to finally feel like it belongs together.

Save this if you are building a brand with multiple sectors and do not know where to start.
