I cannot believe I let negative comments online stop me from doing what I love. @adobe invited me to San Francisco last week for the @photoshop Summit and it was one of those trips that genuinely makes you stop and reflect on everything. We had some really open and honest conversations about AI, creativity, burnout, and where the design industry is actually heading. And what I loved most is that Adobe gave us the space to be real about it. Not just hey AI is amazing. But how are we actually using it? What are the problems? What does Adobe need to do better? And they are listening. Conversations we have had at previous summits are turning into real changes. That means something. But one conversation about burnout stuck with me more than anything else. It made me realise I had stopped making content I genuinely loved because I let negative comments get to me. And that is something I am not willing to accept anymore. So yeah. The ugly logo redesigns are coming back. I started this because I loved creating. It is time I got back to that. Massive thank you to @daniel_serva for one of the most honest and vulnerable talks about using design to express yourself. @designwolfldn for an incredible session on building design systems with AI. Adobe Photoshop beta just dropped dynamic layers and I have been playing around with it and it is genuinely something else. So what it does is give you so much more control over anything you have generated inside Adobe Photoshop. Rather than being stuck with one fixed result you can now dial the effect up or down. More of it. Less of it. Exactly how you want it. I used it to add storm clouds to an image and instead of just accepting whatever Adobe Photoshop generated I could control exactly how intense the clouds were. More dramatic. More subtle. Right in between. All adjustable without regenerating from scratch. But the part that really got me is that you can create multiple animations from it as well. Which makes this an incredible tool for creating GIFs and animated content directly inside Adobe Photoshop without any extra steps. This is one of those Adobe Photoshop tips and tricks updates that gives you the creative control that generative AI sometimes takes away from you. You are not just prompting and hoping anymore. You are actually directing the outcome. Save this Adobe Photoshop tutorial because dynamic layers are about to change how you use generative tools completely. Way more control. POV: you’re a brand designer on a flight and suddenly you’re studying everything 😂✈️ The seats. The napkins. The signage. The packaging. The little details nobody else is paying attention to.
