Started giving myself my own shots this time around, and honestly, that feels like such a huge improvement. I used to be absolutely terrified of them. It’s crazy what you learn to do when you want something this badly.

But I can’t even explain how tired I am. Physically, mentally, emotionally… just tired. Still showing up, still doing the shots, still taking it one day at a time.

It went from years away… to months away… and now somehow, we’re only weeks away.

I don’t think it’s fully hit me yet that I’m actually moving across the country. We’ll be staying put soaking in our last weeks here and yes that was our last trip to Disneyland lol.

For years, this was something we dreamed about, planned for, worked toward and said “one day” about. Now, “one day” is almost here.

I’m so excited, but my heart feels heavy too. This is where I’ve spent my entire life. It’s where I was pregnant with Slater, where I started noticing all the hummingbirds, and where so many pieces of my life will always live. Leaving that behind feels emotional, but I know I’ll find new little Slater winks waiting for me at our new home too.

I’ve always wanted to be the one who moved far away and created a completely different life. Now that I’m actually doing it, I realize how much courage it takes to leave what’s comfortable, even when you’re leaving for something you’ve prayed for. And somehow, I’ve never been more ready to go.

This year has taught me to let go and let God. I don’t need to have every answer. God sees the things that worry me, and I trust Him with the things I can’t control.

And look where He’s leading us.

To a beautiful little property by the water that we still can’t believe is ours. A place where I can picture our life unfolding and where I feel completely at peace.

I’m leaving behind a lifetime of memories, but there are so many firsts waiting for me.

A new home. New memories. New traditions. A new version of myself I haven’t even met yet.

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to describe it, but I’m ready to see what God has written for us next. 🤍
