Trigger warning: IVF / infertility 🤍 I’ve gone back and forth about sharing this but vulnerability has always been such a big part of my platform, and it started to feel inauthentic to keep showing up without talking about the thing that has consumed so much of my life lately. We’re going through IVF. Earlier this year, I found out I have diminished ovarian reserve. We knew going into this that our numbers were low and our chances were slim, but knowing something is going to be hard and actually living through it are two very different things. The appointments. The shots. The hormones. The constant waiting. The hope, disappointment, and trying to prepare yourself for either outcome. Mentally, physically and emotionally, it has taken more out of me than I ever expected. I’m not sharing because I know how this story ends. I don’t. I’m sharing because this is my life right now, and maybe talking about it can be an outlet for me while also making someone else going through it feel a little less alone. I believe whatever is meant to happen will happen. And through all of the uncertainty, I never lose sight of how incredibly grateful I am for the amazing little girl I already get to call mine. I hope more than anything we get to grow our family.
