I went through my wardrobe recently and found loads of my pregnancy clothes. The stretchy dresses I used to LIVE in because they were so comfy and I felt good in, yet haven’t reached for a single time since. Maybe that’s just because they’re not as practical with a baby but also if I’m honest, it’s more likely because it’s a deep rooted feeling that without a bump or a flat stomach I don’t feel confident enough. I’m scared people will look at me, judge me or the dreaded question (that I’ve received a good number of times) “when are you due?”. And that makes me angry and sad - at myself, but mostly at diet culture and the ridiculously unrealistic beauty standards we’re set as women. So, I tried that dress on, put it down as a mark under “exposure therapy” and reminded myself that I really don’t need to be growing a whole ‘nother human to justify not having a flat stomach, or how any part of my body looks. Then, carried on my day ☺️

safe to say, as a retired Joni-jeans fanatic (god what were we thinking), elasticated waistbands are now the *only* way you’ll get me near a piece of denim.

Wore this to the shops the other day and I rarely show my every day outfits so here we go 💃

These bad boys are the new @_beyond_nine tori jeans and yes they’re spenny but I’ve had my blue wash ones for around three years now and cost per wear must be in the minus numbers now. So if you’re someone with a sensitive stomach I cannot recommend switching from pieces you’ll wear once to investing in these babies - truly pure comfort 👌🏼 (pr product).

I’m also thinking of doing a few edits of elasticated waist trousers that hit different price points so if you’re keen lemme know!
