✨Save this for the next time you want a very different kind of brunch in LA.✨

You can spend a lovely Sunday aboard @thenorthwindexperience, a historic 1930 yacht docked in Marina del Rey with ties to Winston Churchill, Queen Elizabeth II, and Jackie Kennedy.

Expect cocktails, brunch, gorgeous marina views, and plenty of time to explore the yacht itself — including Jackie’s former suite and some very intimidating historic stairs.

They also offer Friday and Saturday sunset experiences if you’d rather make it a date night.

Definitely one for the “things to do in LA that aren’t the usual things to do in LA” list.

✨Save this for your next NYC girls’ day—especially if your version of friendship involves one person planning a wholesome outing and the other immediately asking where the dead people are buried.

Huge thanks to @thejennycurtis for taking me to Governors Island and somehow tolerating me running off like a toddler to peer into abandoned military houses, getting far too excited about Civil War prisons, and nearly losing my dignity to my first hammock.

One of my favorite things about having friends scattered across different coasts, cities, and countries is getting to drop into each other’s worlds and explore somewhere together. It makes every trip feel a little more like home—and usually gives me someone to drag through several centuries of deeply questionable history.

@governorsisland is such an easy NYC day adventure: a quick ferry from Lower Manhattan, skyline views, bikes (if you’re a dweeb), hammocks, food, art, historic houses, old forts, and just enough epidemics, prisoners, and relocated graves to keep things interesting.

Save this one for the next time you want to escape Manhattan without actually leaving New York City.
