The Indian Peaks Wilderness will always be one of my favorite areas to explore in Colorado. Aside from Rocky Mountain, it’s the area I explored most when I solo hiked all of 2024 when I first moved here & didn’t have any friends yet! 🥾

Will never get over that trails like this are just an hour away from my house. So grateful to be living here in Colorado and have such pristine nature in my backyard. This solo day was MUCH needed and was such a reminder to prioritize more time like this for myself.

Wanna start hiking solo but feeling nervous? Here are a few tips I’d recommend to anyone:

1. Don’t hike too early or too late. Start your hike when the sun is already up, and plan your hike so that it ends before the sun even starts setting in the sky. Having daylight 100% of the time just feels so much more comfortable than hiking in the dark.

2. Tell a couple people where you’re hiking & for about how long you’ll be out there. And then check in with them immediately when you get back to service. Alternatively…

3. If you can, find a hike that still allows you to have service. Some hikes along the front range like in Boulder or Golden still have good service. This will help you feel more safe, but it’s still good to tell a couple people where you’ll be no matter what.

4. Carry bear spray!! And attach it to your hip or your chest strap, don’t leave it in your backpack like a silly goose.

Those Colorado sunsets hit different in an RV 🙂‍↔️

Can’t believe we were lucky enough to witness this insane sunset on our last day with @gorving!! We stayed at Sun Outdoors Rocky Mountain and it was so stunning to see views of the Rockies in the distance while the sky was painted orange and pink 🌄

In the last clip, you’ll see one person actually brought their converted van. It was so awesome to be able to walk through and tour all the different RV setups from vans to towables and even 5th wheels. I genuinely cannot decide which adventure rig will be best for me, but I’m so excited for the journey of figuring it out!

Growing up, my grandparents lived in a Motorhome, and it was always so fun to visit them because half the time we’d be in a new spot. And thanks to @gorving, I got to have my very first RV experience as an adult. Safe to say, I’m hooked on this lifestyle!

Adventure right outside your door, immediate access to time in nature with friends, and none of the comforts of a hotel or a home were compromised. This trip is making me so excited for my very own adventure rig someday soon! 👀

First time fly fishing and I’m obsessed! 🎣

I’ve always heard people say fly fishing is so relaxing and I finally get it. I didn’t even care about catching anything because the repetitive movements and just being out on the water was so therapeutic.

Grateful to @gorving for this experience. And this incredible spot was just 10 minutes up the road from where we were camping! I’m obsessed with RV life! 🚐
