Brown Stew Chicken 🐔

Any kind of chicken stew has to be my favorite kind of chicken! There’s something about all the flavors cooking in the pot together that just makes everything taste so much better! Enjoy this classic dish!

Full Ingredient List:

1 whole chicken cut up into pieces
1/2 small red green and orange bell pepper diced
1/2 medium white onion chopped
4-5 green onions chopped
4-6 thyme sprigs
4-6 garlic cloves
1 tsp ginger
1 tbsp browning
2-3 tbsp brown sugar
1-2 scotch bonnet or habanero peppers
5-6 crushed pimento seeds (or allspice)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup neutral oil
Splash of ketchup

Recipe Tips: Allow chicken to marinate overnight for best results! Slightly cover the chicken in water and allow it to cook down. If your broth is too loose after about an hour continue cooking down until thickened or add a cornstarch slurry to help!

2-3 pounds chuck roast
6-8 cups water (adjust as needed)
4-5 garlic cloves
1 medium onion
5-6 dried california chiles
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1-2 tsp sazon
2 chicken bouillon cubes
4 bay leaves
Mozzarella cheese
Flour/corn tortillas

Deep Fried Calamari 🦑

Calamari is a top 5 appetizer as long as it’s made right! Oftentimes I order it at restaurants and it’s either a little chewy or not crispy. Try this version at home and thank me later! Enjoy!!

Full Ingredient list:

1/2-1 lb of calamari
1/2 c buttermilk
1/4 c hot sauce
1 large egg
1 c flour
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp smoked paprika
1-2 tsp salt

For ranch:
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 whole jalapeño
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp fresh dill
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder

Recipe tips:

Try frying the calamari with breaded peppers for extra flavor. Mix and match sauces to pair with the calamari, it pairs well with marinara!
