This is how Spider-Man’s POV was filmed 🕷️🎬

For Spider-Man: Brand New Day, filmmakers built a custom “cyclops rig” to shoot immersive POV shots, as seen here in a major sequence where Spider-Man fights an army of red-clad ninjas.

A hotel where the Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz stayed, Hollywood legends walked through the doors, and John Wayne supposedly won the whole place in a poker game 🏨🎬

The Culver Hotel has been at the heart of Culver City’s film history since it opened in 1924. Built by Harry H. Culver, the hotel became part of a city deliberately designed to attract filmmakers and studios.

The hotel has plenty of Hollywood stories of its own. Almost all 124 Munchkins actors reportedly stayed here during the filming of The Wizard of Oz, with stories of wild parties. There’s also a long-running legend that Charlie Chaplin sold the hotel to John Wayne for just $1 during a poker game.

For any cinema buff or old Hollywood obsessive, it’s a pretty special place to stay.

Thanks to @culverhotel for having us and letting us tell the story of this incredible piece of Hollywood history.
Chris Hansen’s voice vs Robert Pattinson’s voice in A24’s upcoming PRIMETIME 🤯

The film is set to have its world premiere at the main competition of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
A true actor stays in character. Even when almost killed by a taxi 🤣🚕

While filming Midnight Cowboy (1969), Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight were shooting a street scene in New York without a permit to close the road, so director John Schlesinger used a hidden camera in a van and recorded the actors with remote microphones.

After several takes, a taxi suddenly ran a red light and entered the shot as the two actors crossed the street. Hoffman later explained that he wanted to shout “Hey, we’re shooting here!”, but stayed in character and yelled “Hey, I’m walking here!” instead.

Voight followed Hoffman’s lead and remained in character, and the unscripted moment became one of the most famous scenes in film history.
