Part 2 of the Agamemnon helmet The clear coat almost ended this build. I Sanded the whole thing down four times, not counting prep, because Rust-Oleum satin clear wrinkled over Dupli-Color matte black. Twice. Switched to Dupli-Color matte clear and it finally held. Gold edges are Rub ‘n Buff, applied with a toothpick so it reads like worn metal instead of a painted line. That idea came from @thearmorersforge , go check her process. Spine pieces printed in ABS, 40 min vapor smooth, gloss black, Rub ‘n Buff on top. Ngl, i’m almost sure that a lot of this was user error, but it is what it is😂. and I’m not saying that Rustoleum clear satin doesn’t work. It just didn’t work for the paint combination that I had. I built a real Snail Phone that rings with my phone  and I don’t even know how to code. 🐌 👉 Comment “snail,” and I’ll send you the entire project. I can 3D print and solder, but I’d never modeled anything this organic in my life and had no clue where to even start. So I opened Codex in the @ChatGPT desktop app and had it lay the whole thing out like a dashboard — the full pipeline, a parts list I went through and ordered myself, and all the code. I still had to model the shell from scratch (a full day plus a bunch of post-processing), and even when the parts showed up I still didn’t know what to do… until the build manual it made me walked me through every step, like a kid’s booklet. Wasn’t all smooth though. Wired it all up and it just would not connect — the Bluetooth board flat-out refused. A whole afternoon of digging and rewiring later… “Can you hear me?” “Yeah, I can hear you.” 🔊 It worked. So sick.
