We’ve entered the era of performative AI competence. "AI adoption” has become a performance metric.

So now people are not only doing the job. They’re doing the theatre around the job: mentioning the tools, showing the prompts, adding “AI-assisted” to the process.

Because somewhere, in a strategy deck far away from the actual work, leadership decided people "haVe tO uSe AI"

And this is how companies confuse activity with transformation. Real AI maturity is knowing where AI is useful, where it’s harmful, and where the human brain is still the best tool in the room.

Everything I'm seeing screams "Innovation Theater" but at a much larger scale than we've seen before (like with Design Thinking for example).

💬 did you company / leadership put forward a mandate to use AI? Share the real stories in the comments 👇🏼

yeah, turns out AI doesn’t remove cost, it shifts it from people to compute, infra, and constant iteration.

so yes, laying people off might make the spreadsheet look better for a quarter.

then reality arrives with a GPU bill, broken workflows, quality issues, and the unpleasant realization that judgment was never the expensive part.

the expensive part is pretending you can remove it. 💋

Raise your hand if you still call it "Twitter" too 🙋🏻‍♀️

💬 comment KITTL to make product videos that move, starting from solid templates that are easy to use. Then there's the coherence of a single system. Producing marketing videos used to mean:

Design in one place.
Script in a different one.
Editing somewhere else.
Too many tools, too much friction.

What I like about @kittldesign is that the whole creative ecosystem is already there: the design, the typography, the product direction, and now AI Video Board powered by Seedance 2.0.

So a static tote bag graphic can become something with motion, rhythm, and emotion.

Because products don’t sell only through pretty assets.
They sell when people can imagine them in motion, in context, in their life.
