This is the first trilogy I’ve absolutely devoured this year. Read over two days, back to back, barely came up for air.

My Kindle enjoyed it so much I had to buy trophy copies. 🖤

We’re talking 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 by H.M. Slade and yes… she got me.

I’m only including the blurb from book one 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘦 because anything beyond that would be criminally spoilery, but consider this your warning: these books are spicy 😈 and explore some darker themes. Content warnings are available. They’re also full of love and loss, trauma and healing, found family, and characters who crawl under your skin and refuse to leave.

𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛: 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘦

I was searching for them, but they found me first.

Three men who watch over Axton Harbor with an iron fist or a bloodied blade, and whose goal is to purge the city of the evil that lurks in plain sight.

Waking up tied in their basement as their prisoner is the last thing I expect.
Craving their touch comes as a close second.

I need them in order to exact my revenge, but I only get what I want if I agree to a deal with these masked devils.

Way better than it has any right to be. Twisty, addictive, and constantly had me guessing. I came for the masks... because I clearly make excellent life choices and stayed because I was emotionally invested.
This is my first time reading @Author H.M. Slade and it absolutely won’t be my last.

It felt only right that my first post of the year goes to the first book I read this year.
𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 by @Pam Godwin was also my introduction to this author… and consider me fully paying attention now.

This one leans into 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬, so please check the trigger warnings before diving in. If you know Pam Godwin’s work, you already know she doesn’t play safe.

Hella spicy, 🌶
Darkly addictive.
And absolutely not a casual bedtime read (I may have stayed up most of the night finishing it 😈).

I’m really excited to read more from Pam Godwin this year because if this is the tone she sets, I’m ready for the encore.

✨ December Romance Book Box ✨️

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, whatever it looked like for you. Quiet, chaotic, cosy, or somewhere in between. 💛

This is December’s romance box from @TheButterflyBookClub , and it’s only my second box from them, but I’m already really impressed. The quality is gorgeous, everything arrived in perfect condition (which honestly feels like a small miracle sometimes), and I really appreciate the little custom touches they include. It all feels very thoughtfully put together.

I was very excited to open this one and see it was 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘍𝘪𝘵 by @Sadie Kincaid Author . If you’re new here, I started reading Sadie’s books this year and promptly fell headfirst into obsession. I’ve loved every second. The men have absolutely no right being that hot, and the spice… well. The spice is most definitely spicing. 🌶🔥

This beauty is the special edition of 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 & 𝘉𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘭 by @Laura Bennett | Author , which I picked up for myself at Authors at the Armouries as an early birthday treat.
Not only did I get to meet Laura (who was absolutely lovely), but I also walked away with one of her… 🍆 from her bag of 🍆 🤭😏
As for the book? I devoured it.
