I’ve done a LOT of omakase in NYC, and @ikisekaiomakase really stood out 🍣

This new 14-course omakase on the Upper East Side was genuinely one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had in the city recently.

Everything was incredibly fresh, the pacing was quick without ever feeling rushed, and I loved how friendly and conversational the chef was throughout the meal. And an important detail (for me): the playlist was SO good.

Iki Sekai is led by Chefs Po Ng and Gary Ke, who previously worked at Ito and Kinjo, and the seasonal menu moves through sashimi, nigiri and other specialties.

If you’re always looking for a new NYC omakase to try, put this one on your radar.

I’ve been on a huge matcha kick lately, and @kijitorabrooklyn is my current favorite 🍵💚

Their matcha drinks are SO good, and I love the whimsical cat theme throughout the cafe, from the decor to the cutest little cat logo and merch.

My current favorites are the strawberry matcha, mango matcha, and yuzu honey matcha. I honestly have a hard time choosing between them every time I go. Which would you choose?

I visited their 151 N 7th Street location in Williamsburg, but they have five locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan!

If you’re also in your matcha era, definitely add Kijitora to your NYC matcha list 🍵✨

My new favorite reason to go out on a Monday 🦪🍸

@cravefishbar’s Shuck Yeah Monday means $1 oysters + $10 martinis ALL NIGHT LONG, and it is such a good deal.

They also have a $45 wine grab bag and 2 lbs of mussels + fries for $24. Just get there early if you want the $1 oysters because they’re available while supplies last!

And if Monday doesn’t work, Crave also has $1 oyster happy hour every day. 🙌

Send this to your oyster + martini person and save it for your next NYC night out.

Another NYC bookstore for your list 📚❤️

Yu & Me Books is an independent bookstore in Chinatown celebrating immigrant stories and writers of color, and it also happens to be NYC’s first queer Asian-American woman owned bookstore.

Beyond the books, there’s a café and bar where you can grab coffee, tea, beer or wine and hang out for a while, which of course I love!

Save this for your next NYC bookstore crawl📚
