Content 101 for busy mums. Two weeks ago @jeninthed commented that she wanted to start but was afraid she wouldn’t have anything worthy to say. So I gave her an exercise: grab a piece of paper and write down five things you love, five things you can’t stand, five things you wish you had, and five things you feel lucky to have. That’s four videos. Done. I told her I’d do it the next day. It’s now two weeks later because of course it is. So I did it just now with less than 10 minutes before school pickup. No script. No edit. Just me rambling about the smell of rain and dancing in my kitchen. And here’s the point- that’s all content is. It’s just you talking about the things that make you you. You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need something “worthy” to say. You just need a piece of paper and five answers. So here’s your homework. Do one of these four lists on camera. Post it. Tag me. I want to see it. And if you’re sitting there thinking “but I’m not interesting enough”- I just spent 90 seconds talking about bread and weather and you’re still here. Day 30 of 56. First time I made it from start to finish without stopping. Four weeks of having to pause before the end of every set, and today I didn’t have to. Maisie came for a mid-workout cuddle but I’m not counting that. The pop squats nearly killed me yesterday but today I pushed through. It’s only 18 minutes but one day this will be my warm-up and I cannot wait for that day. For now I’m just going to bask in it. That’s a win. Day 29. Didn’t post Friday. Had a migraine and gave myself permission to stop. A few weeks ago I would have called that a fail. But it’s four out of five, and I’m genuinely proud of that. Last week I stopped showing up for the video and started showing up for me- and there’s a big difference. This morning I was up, workout done before 10am (which is apparently a personal record 😅), sun coming through the window, lower body felt so much better than last time. Fresh week. Let’s go move our bodies. 💪
