📡📡 Beau • Pit Bull Mix • Washington Square Park, NYC I met Beau (@beaubeanbully) and Rebecca (@pug2pit) in Washington Square Park in New York. He was sitting there peacefully guarding his stick & ball, with his ears standing on high-alert taking in all the sounds. Beau is a Pittie mix, and they assume he might be part frenchie because of his ears. He is obsessed with sticks, and has a growing collection in his (I mean Rebecca’s) apartment. He’s also a good juggler, as you can see him carrying multiple things in his mouth at the same time. 😂 Rebecca got Beau from the @nycacc a few years back, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Testing the Sony A7R VI the only way I know how 😂 This week I was in NYC for the launch of the new @sony A7R VI. They had these really amazing sets for us to take photos in, and a lot of really talented models, too. But I knew the best way for me to REALLY test this camera was to sneak out to Central Park and find some dogs. 😂 The camera was paired with the 50-150mm F2 GM (which I am 100% picking up after using it). While I was in the park I ended up finding a bit more than dogs… “Excuse me, is your trash panda friendly?” This camera is freaking WILD btw. You know I’m not a camera reviewer (I’ll let my more talented friends do that), but what I will say is that I’m EXTREMELY impressed and looking at picking one up in the next few months. ❤️ Empress // I share a lot of stories here, but this one in particular really got to me… This beautiful girl was found alone, abandoned, and tied to a park bench. 😔 When she was found, she had a bit of wobble in her step… like she found it difficult to walk in a straight line. It was determined that she likely suffered a neurological issue that was never treated, so she was left with brain damage. The idea that someone left this poor girl tied to a bench, alone, in this condition… that broke me. 💔 Luckily the amazing folks at the Best Friends Society took her in and gave her the care that she needed. Now, she’s looking for her forever home! She’s very sweet, caring and loves both people and dogs. She has some special needs, but she’s going to make a lucky human very happy with the amount of love she has to give. She’s currently available at the @bfas_ny === 📝 Justin’s Notes: This is a story that I was meant to tell. Back in January I travelled to London, and randomly met Daniel and his beautiful Bull Terrier, Bubba. We immediately bonded over our love for Bully’s. About a week ago Daniel messaged me and said that his friend Kitty (@kitty_hayes) was volunteering to keep Empress company at the shelter in NYC. Kitty was heartbroken that nobody had applied to take Empress home, and Daniel asked if there was anything I could do to help. As luck would have it, I just booked my tickets to New York that morning, as I had to come into the city to do some work with Sony (more on that soon). I met up with Kitty, and we took this angel out for a special day at the park to tell her story. HUGE shout out to Kitty for her help on this, and for keeping this beautiful girl company while she patiently waits for her new family. ❤️ Moments like this make the world feel a little bit smaller, and a whole lot more connected. #dogphotography #dogsofnewyork #nyc
