Honestly… when I first looked at corporate CVs, I thought I’d have to completely start again 🙃
But the truth is, teachers already have SO many transferable skills. We just describe them differently.
In this video I’m sharing how I’ve been converting the kinds of statements we use in teaching applications into language that makes sense for corporate roles. Things like leadership, managing people, analysing data, running projects… we do it daily, we just don’t always call it that.
If you’re thinking about a career change, or just curious about what else might be out there, I hope this helps you realise you’re probably more qualified than you think… 💭
Save this for when you next update your CV and let me know if you want me to share more of this journey.

POV: I’m usually working from home… coffee in hand, slippers on, pretending I’m organised…
But today? Today I was in London travelling 🚆
Train 1: Feeling productive, answering emails, life together. I even had time to amend my Tesco shop.
Train 2: Mild panic when I realise I forgot snacks (rookie error).
Train 3: Questioning all life choices while speed-walking through a station because I had 2 minutes to get on the train.
All to visit a school… which honestly is the best bit. It felt like such a treat being back in the classroom and knowing I wasn’t the one with visitors popping in next 😅, chatting to staff, and remembering why teachers deserve unlimited coffee and a standing ovation daily 👏
Anyone else feel like travelling anywhere in London requires Olympic-level route planning and at least one platform change that tests your cardio? 😅
