A bit more info & context: We gave Gus subcutaneous fluids twice this week (which we haven’t had to do in quite a while), and bumped up his MiraLAX just a teeny tiny bit. But this whole situation just illustrates how dependent his medical management is on a very strict routine. He couldn’t have breakfast the morning of his eye procedure, and the vet team gave him at least one churu while he was there. That small change in routine and food intake combined with him receiving sedatives for the procedure was enough to really throw off his gastrointestinal balance. (Not blaming anyone at all. It’s just an important observation to make and know for future reference.)

August 23 & 24 Poopdate! 💩🧡

Gus is getting FILLER tomorrow under his left eye to hopefully correct his entropion. We opted for this procedure vs. surgery as it’s less invasive and has almost zero recovery time. Gus is not a happy camper in a cone, so we think this will be overall way less stressful for him, even if he needs it again in the future.
