✨ Starting 2026 as a HBA Finalist Makeup Artist of the Year ✨

It feels strange to say the last time I was a finalist was in 2022… and here I am again. What a way to start the year 🥹

I want to be really honest with this post because this journey hasn’t always felt glamorous. There have been times in my career when I’ve wanted to give up and I know so many fellow artists will understand that feeling, especially after Covid when work slowed, motivation dipped, and you’re trying to keep yourself visible on socials while still believing in your craft.

Then comes real life… falling in and out of love, taking on other jobs, putting your dreams on the side because you have a family and responsibilities, and sometimes feeling like your heart isn’t quite where it’s meant to be.

Last year truly made me fall back in love with what I do. And honestly, without my clients and the support I’ve received, I probably would have given up, not because I didn’t love makeup anymore, but because fear and worry about providing for my family can be louder than your passion.

So this one means everything to me. Thank you to every single person who has booked me, shared my work, recommended me, or sent kind messages. You’ve kept my dream alive and I’ll never take that for granted ❤️

Wednesday reminder ✨

I promised myself that in 2026 I’d post more things that inspire, help, motivate, and feel relatable, things that maybe others feel just as much as I do.

We all plan for the start of a new year to be x, y and z… but it’s also okay to feel the strain of January. The blues that can come after festive highs. The reset that sometimes feels heavier than expected.

“You don’t have to bloom all at once. Growth can be quiet, slow, and still meaningful.” 🤍

And it’s okay if things don’t feel how you thought they would by now.
Be kinder to yourself. Take yourself to your happy place, whether that’s a simple morning coffee, a run, a walk, or a cuddle with your fluffy companion or your children (whichever works for you 🐾🤍).
