There’s enough room for all of us.

Something I have said for years is that is that I refuse to believe there’s only one seat at the table, just because you only see limited women in spaces doesn’t mean they don’t belong there.

And so many times in my life I have found myself put in competitions with other women that I very much did not enter. There’s a deep subconscious conditioning in many of us that makes us think another woman is our enemy, and we rarely question it.

It is no secret that we live in a patriarchal society that makes it more challenging for women to feel like belong / like they are allowed to show up.

As we edge towards the end of January and often the time of year the newbies in the gym give up, try a different tactic this year, grab your girl and go try a new class together, challenge each other, encourage each other.

Sometimes all you need is the mindset shift that you’re in it together, and that other women are not your competition, they are your key to a better life. The village you need, the safety, the comfort.

Pay attention to your thoughts the next time you find yourself in a competition with someone else that you didn’t consent to entering. Would that partnership be stronger if you supported each other instead of assuming if someone else has something it means you can’t have it?
