I wrote this 3 years ago in 2023.
Feels even more relevant than when I first wrote it.

I XO U

Chat-GPT, can you write me, a love letter?

Would you be so kind as to write it
As if it was written by Mary Shelley –
Wait! No, Emily Brontë,
Or do I mean Dickinson?

Can you make it sound a little bit sexy, a bit saucy,
But not too dirty – I don’t want it to be soft porn,
I want it to be romantic – but not creepy –
Make me sound sweet without being a stalker.

And if you could maybe make it rhyme?
But just in parts, I don’t want a poem
(Love poems are lame. I need this to be cool).
Can you make me sound popular? And pretty?

Actually! Scrap Emily Brontë
(Or was it Dickinson),
Can you make it sound like Tim Key wrote it?
I want it to be funny – I think maybe funny is better –

But maybe they’ll think I’m not serious?
Is Tim Key too funny?
Wait, can Tim Key write sexy?
What if you make it Tim Key but with Dickinson’s poetic prose?

But make it modern, please,
I don’t want to sound Shakespearean,
I’m not trying to court them –
(I mean I am, but I don’t want to woo them)

(DON’T PUT WOO IN THE LETTER!)

Please make me sound edgy, emotional,
But not emo – I don’t want them to think I’m a goth,
Just cool, woke
Actually, scrap woke. Avoid the “new lingo” please – can we

Avoid references to dabbing, to politics, and TikTok
(Although don’t make it sound like I’m old-fashioned).
Wait, let’s go back to the Dickinson thing (or was it Brontë, or Shelley?)
I think that’ll make me sound more intelligent…

So: I want a sort-of sexy, sweet,
cool, edgy, but
not too emo or woke or saucy, letter
That rhymes a bit, but isn’t a poem,

And is a bit funny –
And in the style of Shelley,
Brontë, and Dickinson, (and Tim Key),
Can you do that for me,

Chat-GPT?

Monday murmuration ✨

A million birds - one of the biggest starling murmurations I’ve ever seen.

Their wing beats sounded like waves crashing against round pebbles on the shore, and at points the sky was a black whirlpool, dense with birds.

Filmed with my @lumix S5 ; but I was mostly taking photos ✨

✨ Draw with me is *BACK* ✨

My plan (!!) is that there’ll be new videos dropping every Monday - I hope you like them ! And if you have requests for future themes, drop them in the comments below 🥰

I even gave “draw with me” a lil theme tune because @estherumsey18 said the crunchy cords that I did for my other mini series 🥹

Anyway ! This week’s theme is a robin! Robins are super active at time of year, as they’re getting ready to find a mate. The ones near me have been displaying to each other lately - which is actually super exciting to see, as normally robins are *so* territorial, that you’ll only see one at a time in an area !
